“My paintings are based on things that catch my attention. Shapes, color, texture and light are part of my investigation of ideas and are basic to the compositions that become paintings in pastel, watercolor, oil, casein, gouache or other media. I do my work from life when possible. Otherwise, my work is from memory or freehand drawing based on my photographs. Subjects can be still-life, people, landscapes, flowers, etc. Commissions often bring new inspiration and discovery.”
