Explore the ancient art of wheelthrowing with fun loving clay veteran Deb Slahta. Learn to master the methods and techniques of making pottery through demonstrations, hands-on exercises and plenty of individual instruction. Designed for all skill levels, this class offers an opportunity to learn the basics while continuing to develop and refine throwing skills.

Adventures in Clay –Hand Buildingwith Stacie Galletti

Learn hand building techniques with encouraging instructor Stacie Galletti. Beginning artists and professional clay crafters alike learn how to use various clay hand building techniques to achieve a variety of fantastic results. Emphasis is placed on slab construction. Students explore both functional and sculptural forms; this focus enables them to make beautiful objects for all different occasions.

Experimental Clay Techniques with Jude Saleet

Bring creative excitement to your Friday nights with high-energy artist Jude Saleet. Students learn to craft organic bowls that make beautiful centerpieces or light up the corner of a room, and explore various glazing and firing techniques while learning hand building with clay. Stretch your creative skills by concocting experimental glazes that use everything from found objects and glass to cooking spices and metal. The results are amazing! No experience required - just a sense of adventure!

new! Non-Traditional Mosaicswith Kim Hogan
SP-2016 • Sat., March 29-May 17, 1-4 p.m.
In this class, students create two or more finished projects while learning the techniques to make quality mosaic work. A variety of materials are used including tile, stained glass, pebbles, seashells, mirrored glass and found objects. This class is a non-traditional application, with a focus on creativity. No experience necessary!
