The Banana Factory, Touchstone Theater and the Community School of Music make up the partners of the SouthSide Arts Collaborative. Each summer a group of students ranging from 10-15 years old collaborates with a visual artist, a musician and an actor to create a performance for the community. Students learn how to create the visual, sound and theatrical components of performance.
Students have worked on Touchstone’s 2005 street performance of Don Quixote and have performed at Banana Island during Musikfest 2006.
The South Side Arts Collaborative is made possible by an anonymous donor through United Way.
This program is made possible by the support of ArtsQuest members.
