Angie Snyder-Lande is an accomplished artist and teacher. She is a graduate of Kutztown University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in painting and printmaking, and she has been an artist at the Banana Factory for more than eight years.
Angie began her art teaching career at the Banana Factory, and she also teaches classes at Lehigh Carbon Community College, Schnecksville, and supervises mural projects throughout the Lehigh Valley. In addition, she annually serves as an instructor in the Banana Factory’s BananaWORKS program, guiding inner-city teens in the creation of colorful community murals that are displayed throughout Allentown and Bethlehem.
As an artist, Angie likes to focus on textures, lines, shape and color, and she is inspired by scenes that are often overlooked. She has exhibited her work in galleries and museums throughout the region, including the Allentown Art Museum, Reading Art Museum, Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown and Connexions Gallery in Easton. Newly married, she recently spent time traveling through the Midwest, and landscapes and images from America’s Heartland are now featured in her work.
“The Banana Factory has given me a chance to work with other artists, get artists’ feedback and critiques, and have people come to your studio and see your painting without leaving your studio. The exposure you get from the Banana Factory and the great people here make it exciting to be a part of this great community.”
