"My heroes are Freud, Einstein, Darwin and Picasso.

They asked the questions that opened the doors. They perceived an enhanced and enlarged reality. This is what compels me to paint.

My internal conversation with these realities is translated into oil paint. I am limited to a two dimensional surface, the line shape and color of the three dimensionlal world that I can see.

I work at translation within these limitations. It is a challenge and an insistent drumbeat. Working in my studio, I can satisfy myself for another day."
