Banana Factory Hosting Online Auction July 17 to Support Local Artists

BETHLEHEM, PA–On July 17, 5-9 p.m., the community has the opportunity to support local artists, many of whom have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, when the Banana Factory hosts an Online Silent Art Auction.

The auction will feature more than 30 two- and three-dimensional works of art by more than 15 area artists available for purchase. Included are glass, handmade jewelry, paintings and more. There will also be a public virtual reception via Zoom at 6 p.m. featuring several artists, including painter David Sommers, fiber artist Kim Tanzos, jewelry artist Emily Kitt and printmaker Keith Garubba, speaking about their work.

The Banana Factory online auction will support the arts center’s Resident Studio Artists, Glass Artists and Teaching Artists, many of whom have been impacted over the past few months due to teaching opportunities coming to a halt during the crisis. Artists taking part in the auction and donating works include:
