Learn more in depth the process of silkscreen printmaking in this 4 week class. We will combine portraiture and patterns through screen printing to create an edition of prints inspired by iconic silkscreen artists such as Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg and Shepard Fairey. Techniques including how to prepare your design or photograph, creating color separations to make layers, transferring designs on to screens, and how to mix inks and create interesting color combinations. Walk away with an edition of prints and a new love for the silkscreen process! Beginner and advanced students are welcome. Please bring source materials on a flash drive (photographs or designs) to use for your work. Paper and printmaking materials will be provided.
