3 Week Class

Sundays, October 3-17 | 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Keum Boo is a Korean method of applying 24k gold foil to fine silver, using only heat and pressure. In this class, we will explore form and design without needing to do any soldering. Silver will be cut, shaped, filed, textured, and have 24k gold foil applied; finishing methods are up to the student! An $80.00 supply fee is due directly to the instructor on the first day of class, payable by cash or Venmo. Students are each required to bring their own hot plate, tweezers, and manicure scissors (or small craft scissors) to every class. Please note, this class is designed for student 18 and older.

Supply fee covers:

  • 22 gauge fine silver sheet, 6 x 1 inches
  • sterling silver jump rings
  • sterling silver chain and clasp
  • 24k gold foil
  • sandpaper agate burnisher
  • Liver of Sulfur
  • saw blades
  • specialty equipment (instructor supplied)
