Beth Krumholz is a Berks County, Pennsylvania native, currently residing in Bethlehem. She is a practicing and published educator, artist, poet, mother, and community arts activist. She has worked in the field of alternative art education for over 20 years, having designed and implemented innovative participatory arts programs from the east coast to the west coast, including at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the 92nd Street Y in New York City. She earned a BFA from the California College of Arts & Crafts and an MFA from the University of Iowa, with her focus on studio art and art history. She is certified in Visual Thinking Strategies and brings that pedagogy to her art education programs.

Beth’s talks the talk and walks the walk, as she has successfully piloted a number of public grass-roots art initiatives that explore facets of social awareness with community, folklore, and the power of art and language. Beth is interested animating our daily experiences in the day to day. Marquee Poetry, which brought over a dozen poems to marquees around the county for National Poetry month, is heading into another season and has expanded well beyond where it began. When Beth isn’t working, in her spare time, she enjoys Indian cooking, waterfalls, table-top gardening, and playing with her son and their cats.
