At Christkindlmarkt 2023 the ArtsQuest Glass Studio presents the opportunity to make a blown glass ornament or solid glass candle. Work one on one with a hot glass instructor to create your own piece of art from molten glass. Ages 6 and up, no experience necessary. Pieces need 24 hours to cool overnight, participants will have to return to the festival to pick up their work, pay an extra charge for shipping or pick up from the Banana Factory after the festival is over.

Hot Glass Experience FAQ’s:
When do I arrive?
Give yourselves ample time to park and access the festival grounds early so you can be at the glass tent 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time slot. This will give you time to sign a release and pick you colors.
What should I wear?
Cotton is best, and please avoid flowy garments. Wear close toed shoes and shorts (in summer) below the knee. Long hair should be tied back.
Accessibility/Limitations:
All of the festivals are wheelchair accessible. However, the Hot Shop at the Banana Factory has stairs down to the shop floor, so please let us know so we can bring you in on that level. Come into the front desk or call them at (610) 332-1300 and they will let us know.
Where do I go for my experience?
Hot Glass Experiences (HGE’s) from January to July are at the Banana Factory Hot Shop. (25 W. Third St, Bethlehem, Pa.)
If you signed up for an experience for Musikfest, Oktoberfest, or Christkindlmart, please go to SteelStacks (101 Founder’s Way, Bethlehem, Pa.) You can ask any staff member or Volunteer where we are located at the festivals. (At Musikfest, we are on the Southside).
Where and when can I pick up my finished piece?
It depends on where you did your HGE. The experiences at the Banana Factory are picked up at the front desk, usually by 5:00 PM on the Wednesday after your Sunday visit.
At Christkindlmart: Pickup at the Hot Glass tent after 4:00 PM the following day. Keep your HGE ticket and go to the Info Desk in the main tent to ask for re-admission for your glass pickup. Since this festival runs for five (5) weekends, all items from each weekend will be delivered to the Banana Factory by 5:00 PM Mondays.
Can my piece(s) be shipped?
Yes, it can! There is a nominal cost of $15.00 for the 1st, and $10.00 for each additional item going to the same address.
