Saturdays, September 28-November 30 | 12-3 p.m.

This class is open for anyone with experience with clay who is interested in exploring and learning more about clay, its processes, and honing in on their techniques. This class is made for anyone interested in handbuilding or wheelthrowing, and can be used as an open studio to create self-guided projects, or to continue to practice and develop your techniques. During class times, Jenna will demonstrate additional techniques including surface decoration, thrown-and-altered vessels, and more!

The first 8 weeks of this course will be used for creating and exploring, while the final two class periods will be dedicated to glazing. Students will be given one 25 lb bag of clay at the beginning of the course *if students wish to purchase additional clay, they may purchase through ArtsQuest. Additional clay is subject to availability.

Jenna Zellner is a visual artist from the Lehigh Valley who has been in the clay world for 5+ years. With an Art Education degree from Kutztown University, Jenna is ready and excited to continue sharing her love for art and ceramics with all of her future students. Jenna has experience in making functional, food-safe pieces, as well as decorative pieces using alternative firing techniques.
