In this awesome class, students are introduced to animation and video game design using Adobe Flash. The course progresses through learning the interface, creating custom graphics, populating the library to use for the creation of movies and finally learning some basic actionscript code to make interactive games. Students leave with a few movies and working games but more importantly, an understanding of what is involved in planning and creating a video game and an introduction to the concepts of programming. Open to ages 10-12.

Kathleen Kunsman has a degree in Web Development and uses Adobe Suite products - Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Dreamweaver- on a daily basis. She is also involved with Girl Develop It, an initiative focused on getting more girls interested in programming.
