Tuesdays, November 5-26 | 6:30-8:30 p.m.

This class is geared towards artists and designers new to Illustrator. You will learn the basics of the interface and the fundamentals of vector graphics. The class will cover building graphics with shapes and typography using the fundamental selection, polygon, type, and bezier pen tools. We'll go over applying color and gradients to strokes and fills of objects, combining shapes, the power of layers, guides, and more. This class is for ages 18+. Students are welcome to bring their own laptops and projects, but not required.

Matthew Twombly has nearly ten years experience working in the print publication industry, most notably as a graphics editor at National Geographic Magazine. Currently he does freelance illustration and design for the likes of NPR, Entertainment Weekly, WWF, and National Geographic. He is a graduate of Kutztown University.
