1 Day Workshop

Friday, March 6 | 6:30-9 p.m.

Create your very own un-killable succulent garden in this needle felting workshop. No green thumb is required to create these cute and easy wooly plants. Needle felting is a fun way and stress relieving way to sculpt wool. So come sculpt some super soft succulents! Students can make up to three succulents and each one will get it's own pot.

Mallory Zondag is a Mixed Media Fiber artist with a BFA in Fashion Design and a minor in Art History from Pratt Institute. Her work examines forms of entropy in our world and in ourselves. Using wool, wax and paint she creates forms and textures that explore the visual and emotional impact of growth and decay. Mallory shares her passion for handmade one of a kind textiles and fiber installation through a variety of educational community engagement programs and residencies. Many of these programs involve a collaborative element where the entire school works together on a single fiber installation. These programs bring an exciting and hands on artistic experience to the students as well as emphasizing community and collaboration through art. Mallory has exhibited in galleries, participated in artist festivals, collective shows and done several artist in residence programs in both New York and Pennsylvania.
