ArtSmart & BASD Student Art Exhibition

This art exhibition highlights the work of Bethlehem Area School District students taking part in ArtsQuest school programs. Included artwork was created by students from Freemansburg Elementary, Donegan Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Governor Wolf Elementary, Calypso Elementary, Broughal Middle School, Northeast Middle School, Nitschmann Middle School and East Hills Middle School.

Crayola Gallery, April-June
Compendium, is designed to highlight the thriving artistic community of the Lehigh Valley and region and to showcase the diverse array of multidisciplinary artists. In addition, the exhibition promotes the Artist Collective program at the Banana Factory Arts Center which offers creative networking, professional development and career opportunities for visual artists. The 2019 exhibition has been curated by Tim Higgins, a working artist and freelance writer, arts journalist, editor, reporter and publisher living and working in the Lehigh Valley for the past 35 years.
Linda Dubin Garfield: Japan Series

Linda Dubin Garfield, an award-winning printmaker and mixed media artist, creates visual memoirs exploring the mystery of memory and the magic of place, using hand-pulled printmaking techniques, photography, collage and digital imaging. The “Japan Series” focuses on a collection of work created around a trip to the Japanese Alps.

A collaboration between Martha Rich & Maria Beddia. Friends and former studio mates, Rich and Beddia explore the concept of home as art. The everyday objects and surroundings we choose make us feel that we belong once we get home after a long day in the world. Our homes are us. We are art.
“What is a Lemon?” Martha Rich Art Installation

Daily we are bombarded with chitter chatter, ads, words, sounds and noise. This installation is a physical manifestation of that bombardment.They are the things we overhear, read, see and say, placed as randomly as we experience them. Stories come together in fate.
CALMA: Mural Installation at Café the Lodge – The Art of Pau

Café The Lodge, internationally renowned mural artist Pau Quintanajornet and ArtsQuest are collaborating on an interactive art experience and mural designed to raise awareness of the challenges people face when dealing with mental health issues when Quintanajornet creates a large-scale mural on the exterior of Café The Lodge, 427 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem, April 26-May 5.
