Artist Website

Lauren “Ren” Beck, of Ren & Ink LLC, is a visual artist and educator, proudly representing Musikfest 2024 with her dreamy celestial poster design.

With a supportive family that encouraged her talents from young age, Lauren was immersed in the arts as she grew up in Bucks County, eventually earning her BS in Art Education from Kutztown University and teaching in school districts in PA.

After expanding to begin her own independent art business in 2018, Lauren first clients were primarily in the wedding industry, as she crafted calligraphy and hand lettered elements for events. However, with Lauren’s drive to learn and grow, she started to embrace illustration, eventually adding digital skills to her tool belt and widening her range of projects.

Lauren continues her love for teaching by regularly offering workshops, after school programs, and summer camps with ArtsQuest’s Banana Factory and other studios in the Lehigh Valley. She works with a variety of ages and abilities, bringing subjects and mediums that she loves to the classroom, connecting with others by way of art.

In addition to her work with Musikfest, Lauren’s work can be found in Crayola coloring books, wall murals and signage throughout Pennsylvania, and in designs crafted for businesses and nonprofits in the local community.

Artist Statement:
I’m an artist who proudly embraces technology, despite being trained in fine art from a young age. It took me a long time to understand that using a computer does not necessarily make the artistic process any easier. I believe digital tools open doors to working quickly and efficiently, allowing the artist to lean into their intuition and talent, enhancing their creative vision.

Much of my work features bold motifs with dynamic energy and curves, creating compositions that burst with bold motifs, intricate lines, and textured details. I enjoy expressing my vibrant, celebratory vision on life in my illustrations — adding a sparkle or two for good measure.
