Pennsylvania Youth Theatre
Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, a non-profit performing arts organization housed in the Banana Factory was founded under the principles of educating, enriching, and entertaining youth and their families through live theatre. Acting, Dancing and Singing are the three core areas PYT focuses on, with classes in all three. PYT students audition to be cast in our professionally produced musicals and plays throughout the year, as well as perform in a variety of venues, festivals, and showcases.
Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley
The PCFLV is a local nonprofit organization that supports the entire family during its battle with pediatric cancer. The organization provides individual assistance based on the needs of families, as well as organizes events and special get-togethers to create opportunities for those families to participate in fun and engaging activities, free of charge. These gatherings create a place for parents and kids to find nurturing support within the pediatric cancer community. The PCFLV recently moved its corporate offices to the Banana Factory, where it is the recipient of fully funded arts workshops provided by ArtsQuest, thanks to a grant form the Creative Center and the LIVESTRONG Foundation.

These gatherings create a place for parents and kids to find nurturing support within the pediatric cancer community. PCFLV also makes hospital visits with an array of arts. ArtsQuest has been a recipient of a Livestrong grant which has benefitted children and parents in the PCFLV by offering very special art workshops free of charge.

Santa Bannon / Fine Art is both a fine art gallery and art consulting firm. Our gallery primarily features the work of world renowned Pennsylvania fine art photographers, ArtsQuest’s high-end glass artists and rotating exhibits in many media. We offer consulting in all the visual arts; from photography, art glass, new media, and installation to sculpture, painting and collage. SB/FA clients include individuals, family and corporate collectors, museum curators, as well as interior design and architecture professionals.
Santa Bannon, principal of SB/FA, regularly attends the most important art fairs in the world such as Art Basel, Art Miami, Paris Photo, Photo LA, AIPAD, Scope, among others, to keep abreast of current art trends as well as availability in the “blue chip” art market.
Santa Bannon also attends artists’ opening/closing exhibitions locally, in New York and Philadelphia researching established and emerging artists and connecting with them for collaborations or commission of new work.
We judiciously view fine art and review artists both regionally and internationally to bring our clients work with staying power. We attend and buy at the major auction houses and can research any vintage or contemporary work our clients may have interest in. Should we be unable to procure that certain piece, we can certainly facilitate an introduction.
We assist erudite collectors find appropriate pieces in most media to expand existing collections as well as welcome the novice collector find their way in starting a collection or to simply purchase something they love.
SB/FA is located in the heart of the thriving arts community at ArtsQuest Banana Factory. Our chic 1200 square foot, multi-level space is a Euro-industrial salon style gallery and is the only space of its kind in the region.
Ms. Bannon is dedicated to giving back to the arts and the “non-arts” community. She has been a committee member of the Olympus InVision Photo Festival, a member of the Friends of Alfred Stieglitz Center at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as well as a member of SOTA (the Society of the Arts of the Allentown Art Museum). She has been a board member and former president of the League of Women Voters of Northampton County for over ten years. Married to well known photographer and college arts administrator, Thomas Shillea, they are proud parents of a U.S. Coast Guardsman and their grand daughter is a budding artist. Vegetarians, they advocate for animals, organic farming practices, and reasonable sustainability in design. They live with their four rescues, three Italian Greyhounds and one Greyhound, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

LGBT Youth Drop-In Center
St. Luke’s and The Banana Factory have partnered to provide a fun hangout space to empower LGBT youth through various activities and programs. Participants have access to specialized counseling, health education, and HIV/STI screening and testing, while integrating into ArtsQuest activities in an effort to reduce stigma and increase awareness of HIV related risks. Participants also have the opportunity to organize fun, special events, or just hang out with friends. This program is open to all LGBT youth, aged 13-24. For more info, please call 484-526-2063.
