Wednesday, May 15-July 9 | 6-9 p.m. *No Class July 3rd*

Have you ever wanted to learn how to throw on a pottery wheel? Did you take a pottery class years ago and now want to refresh your skills? This beginner-friendly class is perfect for people who want to try out pottery, people who took a ceramics class in high school and want to get back into it, and people who want to make some functional artwork to take home and enjoy on a daily basis! Join Jenna and she will show you the ceramics process and stages of clay, and you will be able to make several works and take them home with you. Students will also learn handle-making and various surface decoration techniques. This course will last 8 weeks, meeting every Wednesday evening from 6pm-9pm. No previous experience required. Let’s get started on your pottery journey!

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the July 4th holiday, this class will not meet the week of July 4th, but will then meet for the last class on TUESDAY July 9th for a final glazing day.

Jenna Zellner is a multimedia artist and an art teacher from the Lehigh Valley. Jenna graduated from Kutztown University in 2019 with a degree in Art Education and a concentration in drawing, but she left KU with a love for a multitude of media. During her time at Kutztown, Jenna took a ceramics class, which kickstarted her love for creating with clay. Since 2018, Jenna has been consistently creating pottery and has learned all about traditional ceramics as well as alternative firing processes like raku.
