Visiting Artist Program
The Visiting Artist program brings an incredible roster of local, national and international artists to Bethlehem each year for public art, installations, lectures, critiques, and workshops. The program exposes the creative community to a range of artistic approaches and fosters discussion about contemporary art and ideas.

Emerging Artist Residency Program
The Emerging Artist Residency was developed to provide promising young artists in their formative years and opportunity to advance their own work and professional careers through access to a vibrant, community-based art center, with generous workspace, modern facilities, and an atmosphere of ongoing critical feedback.
During the 3-6 month Residency, artists benefit from opportunities for professional development and collaboration with peers. Residents actively contribute to the Banana Factory Arts Center’s artistic and educational programming by participating in First Friday, being available for studio visits and tours, and working in their studios during the Art Center’s business hours. Residents are also required to give a presentation, artist talk and/or demonstration to the public to coincide with their residency or exhibition. Residency periods may change slightly but typically run June-August; September-January; February-May.
