In this introductory course, students will learn the fundamentals of screen printing through the techniques of cut paper stencils and the drawing fluid/screen filler method, and will have completed an edition of 10 prints by the conclusion of the workshop. Instructor is to provide an overview of the history of screen printing with artist examples at the start of the first class. As a group, we will review image, screen, and ink preparation; printing, preparing paper for a printed edition, and cover proper material handling and cleaning.
