3 Weeks

Sundays, July 14-28 | 12:30-3:30 p.m.

During this 3-week workshop, students will learn about sustainable Papermaking from recycled clothing and paper. While learning the basics of pulling sheets, students will also learn about multiple wet and dry techniques used to transform handmade paper. The first two class sessions students will be working to familiarize themselves with the papermaking processes, while being able to explore and create their own handmade paper. The final class students will receive their handmade papers as well as learn about the dry techniques of papermaking. Followed by a demonstration on how to turn their handmade pages into a book. At the end of the class students will have a portfolio (about 10 pages) of handmade paper explorations as well as a hand-bound book of handmade paper.
