ArtsQuest is hosting its 9th annual InVision program in November 2019. InVision is a premier photo-based art program that is designed to foster excitement and dialogue between a diverse group of participants around learning about and making art. This month-long series and complementary year-long programming provides professional development, networking and hands-on workshops for photographers, image-based artists, creative entrepreneurs, makers and DIYers. InVision Festival leverages the unique attractions, history and landscape of the surrounding region and celebrates its diverse artistic and cultural community.

This year, InVision will be hosting its ninth-annual open juried exhibition. This exhibition is a regional* photo-based juried competition that include works outside of photography and traditional photographers to include creatives, makers, artists and designers in multiple creative disciplines that use the photographic process in a significant way.

Juror: Stephen Perloff
Stephen Perloff is the founder and editor of The Photo Review, a critical journal of international scope publishing since 1976, and editor of The Photograph Collector, the leading source of information on the photography art market. He has taught photography and the history of photography at numerous Philadelphia-area colleges and universities and has been the recipient of two grants from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for arts criticism. He was the recipient of the Sol Mednick Award for 2000 from the Mid-Atlantic region of the Society for Photographic Education, the first annual Vanguard Award from the Philadelphia Center for the Photographic Image in 2007, and the Colin Ford Award for Curatorship from the Royal Photographic Society in 2012.

Award winners will be announced during the InVision First Friday and Opening Reception on November 1 from 6-9 p.m..
